AXIS Sentinel

A monitoring tool that only emits notifications has transferred the work to whoever happens to be awake. Sentinel exists so that observation, enforcement, evidence and recovery are one continuous discipline across the AXIS environment, and so the record of an incident outlasts the incident.

• Observes as one lifecycle: signals cross thresholds into alerts; alerts an operator confirms become incidents.
• Guards the boundary: identity, tenant and workspace isolation, privileged-activity control and automatic response to anomalous behaviour.
• Keeps the record: a tamper-evident Ledger, Trace to reconstruct how a decision propagated, and Pulse for the current state, with raw evidence preserved separately from its searchable index.
• Treats silence as a finding: Watchtower reconciles expected telemetry against received telemetry, so a source that goes quiet raises a coverage finding rather than being assumed healthy.
• Stays operational under pressure: Safe Mode applies at the narrowest boundary that contains an incident and never pauses evidence capture.

Sentinel is one of the specialist AXIS businesses, operated under Founder Headquarters governance and deployed independently of the Headquarters estate. It protects and observes the AXIS services; continuity, backup and recovery are a distinct mandate in the ecosystem, and the two coordinate while staying separate.
